Do you want to reduce your food waste and create fertilizer for your garden at the same time? Vermiculture utilizes earthworms to break down organic materials (primarily food scraps) and carbon-based waste byproducts (such as sawdust newspapers, dried leaves, and newspapers) to create vermicompost, a nutrient rich soil amendment. In this interactive workshop, you will learn the basics of building a worm bin, caring for your worms, and harvesting vermicompost. Workshop also includes red wriggler worms and bedding to take home.
